Sunway Group - Doing Well by Doing Good by Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Dr Jeffrey Cheah
The Sunway Group’s commitment to sustainable development is reflected in its very establishment in 1974. The Group’s flagship integrated township, Sunway City Kuala Lumpur, rose from the craters of abandoned mining land and is now home to a thriving community of more than 200,000 people who live, work, learn and play in a safe, healthy and connected environment.
Following the United Nations’ adoption of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals in 2015 and with the establishment of the Jeffrey Sachs Center on Sustainable Development at Sunway University in 2016, Sunway Group has become the private sector’s leading champion of sustainability in Malaysia and the region.
The talk will detail Sunway’s sustainability journey and the Group’s plans in advancing the sustainability agenda in doing well by doing good.
