Technology, Education and Career (TEC) is an annual event which is jointly organised for the 16th time by the Student Support Services Department in Collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE). Since 2001, TEC has been a bridge for students all over Malaysia to be exposed to not only local companies but also multinational companies as well. Apart from providing access to prospective employees, the companies are also privileged to engage with UTP students with their own career talks and CSR programs.

Objectives:

• To equip graduates with the skills needed for local and international job market
• As a medium of interaction between the graduates and employers from various sectors
• To provide a platform for students to gain experience of being interviewed and thus exposed them to proper procedures in job applications
• Encouraging students towards achieving academic excellence through various educational programs.

Why join?

Over 75 companies had participated in the previous TEC with crowds up to 5,000 people including students from other colleges and universities all over Malaysia.

In 2014, TEC became the biggest Sector Focused Career Fair (SFCF) in Malaysia and the biggest career fair in Malaysia which is fully-organised by students. In 2016, TEC celebrated their 15th Anniversary in organising the career fair.

Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) has been awarded a six-star rating for its research, development and commercialisation efforts by Malaysia Research Assessment Instrument (MyRA). With this achievement, UTP is the first private and a non-Research University in the country to receive six stars, the highest performance level for its research excellence.
