BMCC also provides a direct interface with Malaysian Government Departments, acting as a collective voice on behalf of the membership. This strong lobby mechanism has enabled a number of business-related issues to be addressed at the highest level within Government, producing in a number of cases, quite significant changes in Government policy. We also work closely with the UK Trade & Investment team at the British High Commission on a number of issues
We run the Annual BMCC/JPA Programme, a four-month management development programme for senior Malaysian government officers to gain hands-on exposure by working with British companies. This unique programme provides a very effective platform for BMCC members to develop useful long-term contacts and interfaces with the government.
Different
We organise a mix of business and related social functions to cater to the wider interests of our membership. These include business luncheons with high profile speakers, business-cum-social networking events, dinner talks with prominent speakers, topical seminars, industry briefings and sports events. We also hold combined events with various other Chambers and Associations in order to increase the opportunity for its members to network with a broader audience.
