News16 Apr 2018

The Alice Smith School was delighted to welcome internationally-acclaimed author, humanitarian, coach and coach trainer James Mackenzie Wright as the keynote speaker, as well as Paul Rennie OBE, Deputy British High Commissioner to Malaysia at their inaugural Coaching at KLASS: A Community event. The evening offered Alice Smith community the opportunity to learn more about coaching in general, take part in a selection of coaching workshops and talks and even to experience a 1:1 coaching conversation with one of the trained coaches. Over the last 18 months, Alice Smith has been developing a coaching culture, with over half of their teaching staff now being trained and accredited coaches.

The Alice Smith School has embraced coaching in this way in the belief that coaching is not simply a set of skills: it is an attitude and mindset which improves relationships, decision making, strategic planning, teaching, learning, thinking and team performance.
