Formation of the BMCC Education Committee

Following the initiation of the BMCC Energy Committee, we are eager to announce the formation of the BMCC Education Committee as we continue aspiring towards increasing our member's community voicing power in their respective sectors. At this inaugural meeting held at the BBCiM, 15 committee members have been confirmed made up of representatives of schools, universities and key education industry players. It was decided that the Education Committee Chairman was Professor Graham Kendell, (Provost, CEO & Pro-Vice Chancellor, The University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus) with Mr. Roger Schultz (Head of School, The Alice Smith School) elected as the Deputy Chairman.

The purpose of the Education Committee is to gather representatives from the Education sphere both from UK and Malaysia. The committee will serve as a platform for its members to underscore and channel feedback on relevant education matters by advocating at an industry and governmental level. The committee will also examine the gap between industrial need in human capital and education, as well as development recommendations for future improvements. These objectives are crafted in line with Malaysia’s Economic Transformation Programme (ETP).

The committee will convene every 2 months to discuss predetermined subjects that are relevant to Malaysia’s education sector. The committee will also lead Education Forums on a punctual basis.

Customer Service Tip: Check Your Light Bulbs

You don’t get “wowed” when you receive a letter from a bank that has spelled your name correctly.  But you get upset if the bank spells your name wrong. You start to ask, “If they get the basics like the spelling of my name wrong, what else will they get wrong?”

Imagine getting your car back from a car service with an oily foot mark on the driver’s side floor. Imagine an insect in your food on a plane flight.

What would your reaction be? What happens to your trust and confidence in the service provider in each case?
