BMCC and MDBC Organises A Visit to ASEAN Data Analytics Exchange Hub (ADAX)
 
In what was yet another eventful week for the Chamber, the BMCC together with the Malaysian Dutch Business Council (MBDC) co-organised a visit to the ASEAN Data Analytics Exchange Hub (ADAX). A Malaysian Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) initiative, ADAX was brought about to enable businesses, governments, academia and professionals to rapidly adopt Big Data Analytics as a tool to empower decision making and innovation. Mr. Kamelindar Singh and Mr Sivan Sivakaran from MDEC and ADAX respectively addressed a packed room of over 60 attendees who were eager to learn more about the next exciting frontier of technology, and engaging in a wholesome networking session thereafter.

BMCC Joins MIDA and Chamber Delegates on MRT Tour
 
Last week, the BMCC was part of a special Chamber delegation tour aboard the newly constructed MRT hosted by MIDA (Malaysian Investment Development Authority) held to introduce Malaysia's business partners from Britain, Japan, France, Italy, Germany, New Zealand etc. to Malaysia's updated infrastructure facilities.

British Airways Flying With Confidence Course Helps 73 Year Old Take to the Skies for the First Time Ever

A new British Airways video shows 73-year old Ronnie Leach explaining how, having never stepped on a plane before in his life, he was able to face his fears and fly from Johannesburg to Heathrow on a British Airways A380 super jumbo to visit his daughter who lives in London – with a little help from the airline’s Flying with Confidence course for nervous flyers.

After listening briefly, he cut in and stepped into the conversation. He stopped listening to me, and defensively started to give reasons why he did what he did. This was a natural thing to do. I had done it many times in the past! I told him, “Take a step back. Create a space for you to understand the feedback from Mr A.
