Malaysia's Near-Miracle Transformation

Breakfast Talk Series #6 with Crowdo - Equity Crowdfunding

Representing Crowdo, one of South East Asia's largest and longest running crowdfunding operators, Associate Phillip Leong shared with guests at the 6th edition of the BMCC's Breakfast Talk Series last week about the intricacies and methodologies of capital sourcing and successful equity crowdfunding. Philip opened his presentation by introducing the problem statement of reducing the financial gap of 300 Billion USD per annum. Several issues faced were high transaction frictions, predatory financing and inefficient offline services. With Crowdo's vision to become a Digital Financial Institution by Driving Financial Inclusion and Empowerment thru Innovation, they have accelerated growth funding through the rapid adoption of digitisation and automation in the financing process in order to drive scalability.
