BMCC Advocacy Surveys - What's Next

The BMCC recently conducted two surveys requesting feedback from our members on the 2018 National Budget and The Future of Tax Incentives in Malaysia 2017. To increase the value of your membership with us, these surveys are an important ongoing effort as we strive to develop a greater understanding of your business, and in so doing relaying your needs to relevant government stakeholders.

An Important Message from HRDF

PSMB Act 2001 has been expanded effective 1st April 2017
Mandatory by law for employers employing a minimum of ten (10) local employees across all sub-sectors within the Manufacturing, Services, Mining & Quarrying to register with the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF / PMSB) by the amnesty period of 30th September 2017
Failure to register - employer shall be liable to a fine not exceeding RM 10,000 or imprisonment for a period not exceeding one (1) year or both if convicted under Section 13(2) of PSMB Act 2001

Marlborough College Malaysia Pupil Shoots to Success at SEA Games

Marlborough College Malaysia pupil, Abraham Eng (15) has become the youngest ever marksman to win a medal at the recent SEA Games in Kuala Lumpur. He achieved his silver medal in the double men's trap event, competing against world-class adult shots and making history as the youngest shooting medallist in the 29 years of the SEA Games.

Exceptional (I) GSCE Results at BSKL
 
BSKL students and staff are yet again celebrating another year of exam success after students exceeded their targets to achieve 82% at grade A/A* with 58% at A* and 94% achieving grades A*-B. In a year where many schools in the UK and internationally have seen a decrease in GCSE results, it is a reflection of the hard work and determination of the students and staff at BSKL that we have seen a substantial increase on last year's results.
