The pioneering cultural experience launches with the inaugural Gallery Weekend Kuala Lumpur (GWKL), November 25 -27, 2016, to celebrate multi-disciplinary narratives and practices in contemporary Malaysian art and design. FREE events throughout the city! All are welcomed!
GWKL presents a quality, eclectic vision of Kuala Lumpur – multidiscipline, multimedia, cross-culture and cross-border. Where large, established institutions provide compelling museum-quality shows, commercial and grassroots galleries reveal an exciting contemporary art world intimately involved with community and urban setting. Through a well co-ordinated program of tours, discussions and dining experiences, GWKL provides a unique encounter with the cultural assets and multidisciplinary practices of Kuala Lumpur and beyond.
The GWKL 2016 will present the Luminary Pulse Series, supported by the Aga Khan Award for Architecture (AKAA), with multidisciplinary luminaries.
